AMS was founded in 2010 to enhance the lives of the children with Autism at the Maui Autism Center, a Hawaii Department of Education (HDOE) school that meets the needs of students preK-12 and through transitions who require a more specialized classroom setting than available at public school (https://autismmaui.com). Research Partners

To support the Maui Hope research initiative we have partnered with Autism Management Services (AMS)

Much of the current treatment strategies for autism were developed for children. Looking ahead as so many children diagnosed with autism move into adulthood there is a clear need for greater investigation of how to support these adults to achieve their best life. AMS and Maui Hope are partnering to research new strategies to support this adult population.

  • Behavioral health services based on the principles and practices of applied behavior analysis (ABA) administered by Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT)

  • Occupational Therapy (OT)

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

  • Speech Language Pathology (SLP)

  • Sign Language Education and Interpretation
