Maui Hope is guided by a group of highly qualified and licensed professionals with a depth of experience in the field and deep roots in Maui County and the Hawaiian Islands. We recognize that the strength of our staff is essential to the success of our non-profit and the well-being of our participants.

At Maui Hope, we begin by training to the Department of Health’s high standards before moving into emergent field-based learning on our life-sharing approach. Staff training includes participation in extended-family living and supervised practice in the context of the home, garden, animal husbandry, outdoor education, activities of daily living, socialization and other inclusive enterprises.

Through this collaborative effort, we explore an environment rooted in recognizing the true dignity in each of us. Maui Hope aspires to provide a path toward meaningful and productive lives for both the staff and the client.
